My Project

This year I have one of the most active and inquisitive 5th Grade classes I have had in a long time. They are highly motivated by hands-on activities and movement based learning. In order to prepare them for the 5th grade NYS Science Exam and for their journey into middle school, I am seeking science based learning materials to help them explore and inquire.

The activities I am requesting will help 27+ 5th graders explore science questions, make predictions, form hypothesis, and experiment to find the answers.

Our class contains a diversity of learners, including students learning English as a new language, who will benefit immensely from the ability to interact with these materials. I am hoping these activities will help to develop their understanding of the scientific process and develop their understanding of relationships in the physical world.
