This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My young learners adore Pet the Cat. It’s so amazing to see my little learners sit and listen to stories. Pete the cat is a character that my students want to hear about. These stories are musical and whimsical, and so incredibly fun as well. I want my students to learn about math concepts with Pete. The Pete the Cat collection of books will motivate my students and inspire them to want to read. We need these beautiful books, that are rich in language, voice, color, and important lessons in our classroom library. Plus, the students will want to pick them up and read them! Your support will help us get books into our classroom. Thank you for your generosity.
