Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students love playing with math manipulative, while they are having fun they are learning. There is nothing better than watching my students having fun as they are getting to be involved with the hands on manipulative. Hands on makes learning easier for most students and easier makes everyone happy. Manipulative toys give my students the ability to accomplish many different things, and helps encourage them to explore and think and create. I love to see the their little minds go to work when the manipulative come out.

The items requested are going to be used to meet the 4th and 5th grade NYS math next generation standards. Two of the most challenging unit of understanding and toughest standards are fractions and multiplying/dividing in multiple place values. By supporting the student with these resources we are allowing access to all students to be able to make a hands-on connection to the content.
