Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We are excited to launch a collaborative project that brings together our theatre and art departments to create a magical experience based on the classic book, Alice in Wonderland. This initiative will engage 35 actors and 220 art students, offering them a unique opportunity to explore creativity and education through the performing and visual arts.

Our project will utilize various materials to craft costumes, set pieces, and art installations for the lobby display and the set of the play.

At our school, students are curious, intuitive, and take pride in their learning journey. Many come from low-income backgrounds, and drama class often serves as their first introduction to live theater. The enchanting world of Alice in Wonderland provides an ideal platform to spark their passion for the arts.

By equipping our students with the right materials, we can transform their creative visions into a stunning production. These supplies will also serve as a foundation for a photography project where students will explore conceptual photography, translating abstract concepts into compelling images.

Your support will enable us to provide essential materials for the production, including costume supplies, set decorations, and makeup for our actors. Additionally, these resources will aid in crafting a captivating Mad Tea Party scene and ensuring our actors have the best experience possible.

By contributing to this project, you’re not just funding a production—you’re investing in a transformative educational experience for our students, helping them discover and embrace their artistic talents.
