Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My school is a brand new Title I, at-risk school, with a population of over 70% English Language Learners. 100% of our students receive free lunch, and the Covid-19 pandemic has impacted our community tremendously.

School is the one place our kids can feel loved, supported, safe, and secure during these unpredictable times.

We are very fortunate to allow our students to participate in sports programs, such as cheerleading! We are determined to build school culture and spirit through the most challenging times!

My Project

Our cheerleaders need uniforms! We are excited and ready to attend school fully in person this year! Our cheerleaders are the heart of the school and the community! They work hard to promote positivity in our new building. Uniforms will give the girls confidence as they participate in various events. This opportunity will also cut down on the costs and fees for parents. So many of our families on the East side struggle daily, even more now due to the pandemic. The funding of this project will give students a chance to be a part of something they love!
