My Project

We promote college and career readiness through literacy programs with year-round experiences that include many work-based and service-learning opportunities for all our hard-working students including those economically disadvantaged and students with special needs.

In class, students are trained to run and operate their own business in the classroom.

There is a management team and student employees are broken up into various departments such as sales and marketing, finance, graphic and design, human recourse, etc. As employees in department teams, the students work all year long running their business and competing in a simulated global market. Competitions and workshops are held throughout the year. In order to gain competitive advantages they need to experience in real world practice. We need to turn the classroom into a fully operable office with 21st practices however in effort to improve literacy would like to incorporate a class/office library for our student employees. These D book selections will help create an inviting place that will act as classroom sharing library to encourage literacy career practice both at school and in the home.
