My Project

While not entirely "impossible," it is significantly harder to learn effectively when you are hungry because hunger significantly impacts concentration, memory, and cognitive abilities, making it difficult to process information and retain knowledge properly. The brain needs fuel to function optimally, and without it, learning becomes significantly hampered.

Elementary school would be life-changing to our small, tight-knit community. Although not financially wealthy, the families at Magnolia Elementary school are rich in dedication and ACTIVE in ensuring they are doing all they can to support student achievement. Creating a food pantry at Magnolia will help manh of our struggling families with supplying their students with the proper nourishment to succeed.

A local community partner has donated two full-sized refrigerators to house the fresh produce side of our food pantry. The two cabinets requested will house the dry and canned goods in our food pantry, making the resources readily accessible to our students and families. The bins and additional items will be used to organize and label what foods are available in refrigerated portion of the food pantry and the date of their donation.

Thank you for all your help in helping us reach our goal of providing students and families with resources that will directly impact and improve their lives.
