This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Are you or do you know an English Language Learner? 100% of my students are English Language Learners and need to have access to as many materials as possible to help them become proficient speakers of English.

My students are fascinating!

They come from several different countries and in various stages of their educational lives. They come to school every day happy and excited to learn something new. They are all in Dual Language classrooms and work hard every day to maintain their first language while also learning to become proficient in English. This is not an easy task but it is one that they relish!

My Project

English Language Learners often need visuals when they are learning something new. I try to bring pictures, word cards, games, sentence strips and more to all of my classes every day. I create materials that are both teacher and student friendly. However, materials that get a lot of use don't really last that long unless they have been laminated! I recently purchased a small laminator to use for protecting these daily items and need film so that I may laminate whenever needed, and supply the students with materials that are fun, educational and long lasting!

This project will allow me to provide my students with materials that have been laminated.

These materials will now be durable, long lasting and perfect for an ESL classroom. Laminated word cards, pictures and learning tools are perfect for the young learners with whom I work and can last for years to come!
