My students need electroscopes, so they can investigate static electricity for themselves.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Murray's classroom raised $396

My Students
Remember as a child being fascinated with static electricity? Whether it is rubbing a balloon on your hair and making it stick on the wall or pulling your blankets apart and watching the sparks, static electricity is fun and fascinating!!!
I am requesting equipment for some static electricity labs that will make the concepts we are talking about in class come alive.
With these electroscopes, my students will be able to explore electrostatics. Using this equipment will help the students visualize the concept of electrons and static charge better and make learning physics much more fun for them.
My Project
I have requested electroscopes, so my students will be able to investigate static electricity. Using these electroscopes, they will be able to do labs involving static electricity and be able to "see" where the electrons are and how they are transferred from one everyday material to another. Think of a sophisticated version of the old balloon on the wall trick!
These electroscopes will allow my students to experiment with static electricity for themselves.
Using these electroscopes, my students will be able to investigate static electricity in everyday materials.
