This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Last year my Van Der Graaf Generator broke! This generator was an invaluable piece of my teaching during my unit in Physics over electricity and magnetism. These generators will be the replacement for the broken one and allow students to get hands-on and personal with concepts of electricity.

Students will explore how electricity and magnetism are related, static electricity, how electricity transfers and how electrical charge is held or lost between systems of objects.

Van Der Graaf Generators are a safe and very fun way for students to physically engage in exploration of electricity! Literally, a 'hair raising' educational opportunity! Thank you so much for your generosity!
