My Students

My students are amazing. They are constantly coming up with new and innovative ways to create projects. Students work in groups to complete projects and rotate supervisor positions to help manage their individual skills. They use the engineering design process for all of their projects.

My students are eager to explore the world and technologies in the classroom.

In my classroom, my students live by the quote, "Design. Build. Transform." We are always looking for new and innovative ways to explore technology and the world around us. I teach middle school Technology Education to all sixth, seventh and eighth grade students. We are a public school. There are approximately one hundred and twenty students in each grade level. Technology Education classes are required for all grades. We also offer two elective classes for seventh and eighth grade students.

My Project

The goal we are trying to accomplish is to create an amazing classroom where the project possibilities are endless. We want to make sure we have enough materials so every student is able to create projects they are proud of. We are requesting materials for a variety of classes. We would like accessories for an Echo Dot that we recently got. The accessories are speakers, buttons and a remote. We are starting a club that will be focusing on learning to code Alexa Skills.

This project will help students be able to create projects that can help them thrive in electricity and coding.

We are also requesting an Electronics Educational Kit to be used for our students with disabilities. We would also like to get SD cards and SD card reader so we can record and take pictures of our projects.

By getting these supplies, it will benefit an array of students from voice coding to basic electronics understanding. We are trying to help students advance and gain skills that will help them in a technology based world.
