Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students and I see recyclable water, juice and soda bottles around campus and also in trash containers. Recycling is important. The items in this project are material to do a kick off event for Recycling. We want to recycle! We need a recycling can with a lid that has a hole on the lid, so the water, juice and soda can bottles that are recyclable have a designated place. We don't want recyclable bottles to end up in landfill. We will use construction paper and markers we already have in class to make posters.

The posters will say, “Let’s Recycle” and “Let’s Take Care of Earth.”

We will give out Earth inspired items to students at our kick off for our School Recycling. The balloons have a world map. The stress balls in this project look like Earth. The view finder reels in the view finders, showcase animals in their natural habitat. All these Earth inspired items will be given to students at this event.

Let’s recycle! Let’s take care of earth and protect wildlife! This project also has a case of individually packaged water bottles, Izzy juice and Gatorades. Students will get these drinks at the Recycling kick off event. We will remind students to put the recyclable plastic beverage bottles in the recycling can. Our recycling kick off event will be great and we will recycle recyclable beverage bottles. Thank you for supporting my student's interest in recycling and encouraging them to take care of our planet.
