My Project

In our ENL/Art classroom, students use a wide variety of materials to support both language development and artistic expression — from paints, papers, and pastels to glue sticks, beads, brushes, and fabric scraps. However, without proper storage, these supplies are difficult to manage, often get misplaced or damaged, and can become a distraction instead of a resource.

We are requesting funding for a variety of storage bins in multiple sizes to help organize our art materials.

These bins will make it easier for students to find and return supplies independently, take responsibility for their work area, and help us preserve materials so they last longer and serve more students. Clear bins with lids, drawer-style organizers, and small compartment containers for specialty items will make a big impact on our classroom space and daily routines.

An organized classroom fosters responsibility, independence, and respect for shared materials — especially important for multilingual learners building both academic language and social-emotional skills. With clear, labeled storage, students can access what they need more efficiently, focus more on their creative process, and take pride in caring for their shared classroom.

This project will not only help us store materials — it will help us build routines, reinforce language and vocabulary around organization, and ensure that students feel ownership of a welcoming and well-kept learning space.
