Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

In this class, we build a community around what we have in common and our shared experiences. I want my students to know that they are loved and can succeed no matter the circumstances. I call my students my adopted children because sometimes not only does their education needs has to be met, but their home needs as well. Robert Brown Middle School is a public rural middle school located in Greene County Alabama. The population ranges between 500-800 people. It is considered one of the poorest counties in the State of Alabama. Assistance in my classroom will be beneficial in helping my students get the full education they need to develop into efficient leaders.
