Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember your favorite movie? It probably has dramatic orchestral music with lots of beefy trombones!

My students come from impoverished homes.

Some students have one parent or guardian and some have only an older sibling to help them at home. They do not have the funds to buy musical instruments. Yet, they have the same desire to make beautiful music that so many children have!

My Project

I am requesting a high quality bass trombone. I want to bring new recruits into my wind ensembles. This will expand our sound and our influence on our inner-city students. With this instrument, students will learn to read music, create music, build strong social relationships, and explore this discipline and art form.

Well-rounded students should have the chance to study, play and appreciate many styles of music.

This instrument will greatly enhance my wind ensemble's sound and musical soundscape!
