My Project

I celebrate Kwanza with my students every year. It is a time to reflect on our classroom like a family. Students play African games like Mancala, we normally use color construction paper to make our own decorations for the classroom, and have Kwanzaa themed snacks. This year, our school plans to host a Kwanzaa Celebration school wide during Black History Month. We will have African drumming and dance performances. My class is hosting the campus-wide event. Please donate to help us create an amazing space for the Kwanzaa school celebration.
