My Students

My students are made up of a diverse group of children with diverse economic, social, and ethnic backgrounds. I have many students who speak a second language at home such as Spanish, Armenian, Russian or an Asian language.

My students come from all walks of life, but they deserve an equal opportunity to have resources available to them for their education.

My school is a close-knit community with strong parent support, dedicated teachers, and has the child's interest in mind.

My Project

I have been fortunate enough to have provided Time for Kids magazines to my class for the past two years thanks to generous donors!

Help me give my students fun and exiting reading materials such as Time for Kids magazines, which highlights interesting and exciting topics in articles and photographs for kids to learn.

One year Time for Kids featured Mount Rushmore in one issue and one of my students actually went on a road trip to visit during the summer and sent me a picture of himself standing in front of Mount Rushmore and texted me about how he remembers reading about this place in Time for Kids!!! It was such an exciting moment to see and hear students making connections to things they have read about. I look forward to having many more moments like this thanks to contributing donors!
