My Students

My students were once identified by a previous administrator as "dying on the vine." Their particular demographic automatically places them within "at-risk" categories. But what people do not see that faculty and staff at my school see every day, is the hard work and dedication that my students possess. They possess perseverance to continue on when time after time they are doubted! They possess good hearts that care deeply about not only their academics but arts, classmates, music, sports as well!

My Project

In order to sustain a love for reading, I believe it is paramount to create an environment that encourages that love for reading.

The Reading Nook will do doubt change the way my students love to read.

I believe that setting intentional goals that will improve students overall performance in everything else comes from the acquisition of learning to read.

The ottoman will be used for comfortable seating arrangement. The backdrop will give the illusion that they are really superheroes. The pillows will provide added cushion and support. The toy case will house various books, Any and all donations will be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much in advanced.
