My Students

My students are curious about the world... learning is at their fingertips...maybe just a swipe away!!!

My students are enthusiastic learners.

They are fun, driven, curious, talkative, and imaginative. They count the minutes until they are able to go to the computer to practice math or literacy. It is refreshing to me to watch these children play (learn) through technology in a safe environment.

My Project

I am requesting a black iPad 2 (AT&T carrier) with an Apple Smart Cover (pink model). Many of my students live below the poverty line. In many cases, their exposure to technology does not go beyond our classroom. Since we got our laptop, my students have been so excited each time the rotation gets to them. They think they are playing, but sure enough, it is all through math and literacy sites. An iPad2 adds so many more opportunities for the children. The applications for each academic area are endless. Meeting the needs of 24 different students becomes more attainable with particular apps for particular groups. I want to show my students that learning is everywhere... It is not just on paper, or books, or maps... An iPad 2 will inspire a love AND lifetime of learning.
