My Students

For the majority of my students, school is their safe zone. More than half of them come from low-income households, thus they do not have the means needed to purchase basic supplies. Additionally, because most of my students' parents must work multiple jobs to make ends meet, they are lacking emotional support. Many of them even get ready for school on their own and come home to an empty home. My classroom is the one place they know they can come to and feel secure and supported. My goal is to mold my classroom into a comfortable space that will allow their inquisitive minds to flourish.

My Project

I have so many well-behaved students who deserve to be rewarded! I want to show my students how appreciative of them I am when they display positive behaviors. Likewise, I want my students who may need a little help to have an incentive to work for and show that they are rewarded for their hard work. Having these items (bouncy balls, fidget marbles, sticky hands, candy, etc.) will make a positive impact on my students and classroom because my students will be "itching for incentives" which will help cut down on behavior issues and ultimately make my classroom run more smoothly!
