My Students

If you are not connected to today's ever changing technology, the world can pass you by. I want to make sure that my students have access to the world via the most advanced technology available to classrooms today.

My students live in an area that is predominantly economically disadvantaged.

They are Kindergarten students aged 5 to 6. Just like most kids, they enjoy playing with their friends and using computers. They are enthusiastic learners and make great gains every day. Given the opportunity, I know that my students can achieve great things and become prolific innovators of the future.

My Project

Having two tablets in the classroom will allow my students to participate in interactive, technology based reading and math lessons. They will also be able to use the computers to access grade level based websites which offer enrichment. Because the tablets are touchscreen, they will also ensure greater testing efficiency.

For many of my students, the only access they have to computers is at school.

However, due to the limited number of working and updated computers available at school, they may only get to use the classroom computer once every other week. Having tablets in the classroom will allow me to ensure that each student is able to access modern technology more often.
