My Students

Quality instruments really make a difference in teaching music. The students I have in Jazz Band are really motivated and inspired to reach a higher level of musicianship. New instruments will help in displaying these skills in rehearsals and concerts.

My students are in 6-8th grade and are extremely excited to learn about new genres of music as well as different musical artists.

My school promotes a challenging and positive learning community. I believe music really challenges students in a different way and provides the students an appreciation while also challenging them with technical aspects of music.

My Project

Students will use this new digital keyboard in Jazz Band rehearsals. Jazz Band students rehearse 3 days per week for a total of about 6 hours. Students perform at school concerts, arts festivals and community venues such as Barnes and Nobles. This keyboard will allow students the ability to learn different technical aspects of music.

The donations that go towards this new keyboard will really assist students sound the best they can while learning their instrument through rehearsals and performance.

Students perform for thousands of people throughout the course of the year and this piano will help them showcase this hard work and dedication.
