My Project

As the ELA teacher, I service many ENL students who speak Spanish. They love to look at the Dogman series and many other graphic novels and chapter books, but they are not in their home language. I would love for them to be able to read the same books as their peers and enjoy reading until they can read confidently in English. It is also an opportunity for my English speaking students to read some of their favorite books in Spanish as well, to learn a new language. I want to fill my library with new and exciting chapter books for all the other students. Many of our books are old, donated, or are not interesting to the students of this generation. I would love to fill my library with different graphic novels and new series that will interest my grade 3 students in order to foster a love of reading!
