This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
"Ms. Alphonse, when is lunch ? I missed breakfast this morning because the train was running late. Do you have any snacks ? I'm hungry !" Just a few of the statements I hear on a daily basis.
Students are unable to engage in learning content if they are hungry.
That is why I need your help. Please assist me in bringing snacks into the classroom that would be accessible to all students. As an educator, I would like to do anything it takes to ensure that my students are happy, healthy, safe, and learning. Providing these snacks will not only motivate them to attend class, it will remind them that I am here to support them not only academically, but mentally and physically.
