This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In today's world, where information and technology are constantly changing, students must strongly understand STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). The National Science Foundation says improving students' skills in these subjects is essential for future success.

As a teacher, I work with a fantastic group of students excited about learning.

They make every day enjoyable as we explore new topics together. Even though they come from different backgrounds and some face financial challenges, they are among the most dedicated and impressive learners I have ever taught.

I am determined to give all my students, no matter their financial situation, the chance to explore the exciting world of STEM. Getting involved with STEM early can open many doors for their future.

The kits we will use are great tools for students to check their progress, see where they can improve, and improve their learning experience. They will work together to make a car move.

To introduce my students to aviation concepts using LEGO model cars, we discussed basic principles of motion and aerodynamics, such as speed, drag, and thrust. Use the LEGO cars to demonstrate how changing designs, like adding or removing specific parts, can affect how fast or far they move, similar to how airplane design impacts flight. Students will modify their cars to mimic airplane features, like wings or streamlined shapes, to explore lift and stability. This hands-on activity makes learning engaging and helps students tangibly grasp foundational aviation concepts. This will be a great way to learn about aviation.
