Help Mrs. Braswell

Is Global Warming really happening? That is the question that is heard daily in magazines, the news and on the street. I teach Environmental Science in an equity plus high school in North Carolina. My students are quite diverse and almost 35% receive free or reduced cost lunch. All of my students come from hardworking families and deserve the best when it comes to their education. I recently came across a Special Edition from Time magazine that supplements our studies on Global Warming. It is informative, presenting articles about the causes, the perils, some solutions and actions dealing with global warming. The photography throughout the magazine is compelling and convincing. I would like to have a hardcover copy of the magazine for each of my students. With your donation of twenty magazines, we will discuss why Global Warming may be the "greatest challenge of the century", evaluate some of the evidence in photographs, link hurricane and typhoon intensity with climate change, research how climate warming can affect human health, research how nations around the world are responding to this common crisis and finally establish a plan of action for each student to take to make their daily lives "more planet friendly". Please consider my request!
