My Students

The students in our classrooms have a wide variety of academic and social skills. Our students may all be working on different skills or learning through a variety of ways, but they are all part of the same community and work best when they are all together! Collaboration and group work around fun, creative activities allow all of our students to grow and learn together, regardless of their abilities.

Our school is a place where all kids are honored for the unique abilities and talents they bring.

My Project

With these iPad minis (and sturdy cases), students will be able to access a variety of engaging literacy apps to supplement the traditional books that they read in class. With new iPads, all kindergarten students will have increased access to literacy apps, phonics apps, and story-building apps to promote 21st century literacy skills.

Additionally, this technology will be used for digital art projects, filming informational videos for science and social studies culminating projects, and so much more.

Developing literacy skills through technology and developing technological literacy are both critical skills for young students to learn and this project will go a long way in helping to make that a reality for our young learners.
