My Students

The students in my school are very enthusiastic about learning new computer science ideas and concepts. They especially love and get excited about acquiring these abstract ideas through hands-on experiences through robots and technology tools. Additionally, we are launching a Girls Who Code club in our school and these open source hardware such as Microbit and Cue the robot will provide a hands-on experience to better understanding computer science ideas.

What's really amazing about our students is that once they learn something new, they don't keep the knowledge for themselves but they share with others so everyone can explore and experience the same thing.

My Project

Funding this project will greatly improve students' access to programming their robots such as Dash and Sphero. The use of an iPad is the only way to program these robots.

During computer science, while learning about coding, I would like students to use the iPads to program their robots.

Their enthusiasm to work with robots improves student engagement and access to computer science concepts.

Currently, we do not have enough iPads in my classroom so students have to work in groups. With COVID restrictions, I would like to have less number of students in groups.
