My Students

I have 700, knowledge-hungry students that love music and technology!

My students are 700-strong, and hungry for more opportunities to utilize technology in our music class.

They love music, and more and more, they are successfully using technology in their classrooms! The music classroom is a great place for iPads, with TONS of awesome apps for classroom use. We are over 70% low income in a suburb of Chicago, IL.

My Project

The iPads can and will be used on a daily basis for everything from rhythm practice in Kindergarten to composing ringtones and short ostinatos in 6th Grade. Students can create beats to accompany their original music, and also learn about the families of instruments through orchestra apps and using the Internet in class.

My students will truly benefit from iPads in a very modern and approachable way.

They will be able to not only drill skills, but learn about the world of music and how it can benefit their lives. They will become more technologically aware and be able to apply their knowledge with
