My Students

Located just blocks from the United Nations, my 2nd grade students represent countries from around the world. With that said, I currently have 26 students and twelve different languages are spoken in my classroom; not including English. Many of my students begin the year, or join our class mid-year, with little to no English.

Diversity of the thirteen spoken languages in my classroom, allow for an amplitude of learning for both my students and me.

We are so fortunate to have the opportunity to learn from one another. All the students have different life experiences and that it what makes my class amazing.

My Project

As my last project was so close for funding before the expiration, I was able to raise over $500 to fund a portion of the project. I will be purchasing one iPad and case with the money that was donated by so many amazing donors. I am so excited to be able to provide my students with a tool that will allow them to access the English language.

With so many English Language Learners in my classroom, the IPAD provide access to instruction that would not have been possible beforehand.

Technology has changed the way we learn and I am so lucky to be able to use it to better my students' learning.
