Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our little school of about 230 students has made great gains academically over the past years with the small budget we receive. We are often overlooked because we are so tiny. Our school's budget covers basic supplies and not much else.

We are an example of a working community of students, faculty, parents, and staff all working together for student academic success.

Our hope is that many of our students will continue to maximize learning and go to college with the needed tools to succeed in life.

My Project

I want to make sure my students have the necessary technology they need to continue their learning from school. Having the digital access is important to our students to keep connected with each other especially during social distance. They will receive feedback on their work from their teacher, parents, classmates, and principal. Students are able to create and show what they know and how they think by using the Seesaw app and digital tools available. Having an iPad is much easier to use for the younger students since the laptops require a lengthy process in setting up and logging in. iPads are ready to go as soon as they arrive with minimal set up after the teacher sets the parental controls.
