Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students have supporting parents but with very-limited funds. My school is a title 1 school where all of my kiddoes (100%)are on free/reduced lunch. My kindergarteners are full of energy, and so eager to learn and explore, especially at workstation time. They anxiously await guided reading and guided math time so that they can go to workstations. They love doing activities where they get to push themselves, take ownership of their own learning, and are hands on. It's so amazing to watch them make goals and to see their faces light up when after so much practice and hard work, they have finally met them.

My Project

With these iPads and the cases my students will be able to transform their learning into more interactive, engaged, and individualized. These iPads will be fully in students hands. They'll be used during literacy learning centers for listening to reading, reading ebooks, and engaged in word work games. They will also use them during math centers with engaging fun math games and programs that give the students immediate feedback and a hands on interactive learning experience.

Its no surprise that our future involves technology but with the limited funds in my students homes, they only get access to technology in my classroom.

iPads will allow my 5-6 year olds to practice and get familiar with using technology. My students love any chance to use technology and should get access to it just like the rest of the world and you can make that happen!!!
