Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The mission of my school is to provide a socio-economically, culturally and racially diverse community of students with an exceptional public education.
Our children are growing, inquisitive, and learning new tools to make sense of the of the world around them.
My students are 1st graders that are halfway through the school year. As a classroom that loops from 1st to 2nd grade, students have been working hard on taking a more responsible role in the classroom. Many exciting first grade lessons have been taught and have developed into more complex lessons that will benefit them when they become 2nd graders.
My Project
As technology becomes part of everyday school learning in many classrooms. I believe giving the opportunity for hands on options for students in my classroom would benefit them in the future.
Teaching 1st graders how to incorporate fun technology activities within their learning subjects; would be great to see in the classroom.
Students learn in many ways. Incorporating iPads into the classroom will not only make technology more accessible, but it will give them practice to grasp skills needed in the future. Students will benefit and apply these new skills when transitioning to 2nd grade where more technology will be needed
