I teach English as a Second Language in a middle school. English Language Learners are no doubt some of the hardest working students since they are learning not just the curriculum but also another language! I currently have a few students who cannot speak any English and neither can their families. This makes it extremely difficult for me to know that the students and their families are understanding what we are trying to communicate with them at school. The iPads will be used as a translating device for those families in the office and the students in the classroom.
Being able to provide our school with this technology will help my English Language Learners and their families feel confident in communicating in their native language.
Your donation will mean the world to them. Thank you for your consideration!
