IPads Flourishing Music Creativity

Help me give my students Ipads to interact with music in new and exciting ways, with cases, Apple Care and charging tub to make sure the Ipads last for years!

My Students

My students are some of the most eager to learn people I have encountered in my teaching career! They are bold, unafraid and have a willingness to learn that drives me to be a better teacher each day.

Though many of my students come from low income households, that doesn't stop them from being creative, exploratory and passionate about music and the arts.

Our music class gives my students the opportunity to express their ideas, thoughts and creativity when performing or composing. Music sends students around the world to learn about different cultures and points of view. My students are elated to use music as a tool to see the world from a different vantage point.

I am so fortunate to work with 600 amazing elementary students year round. We are located in the heart of Brooklyn, NY. In my class, I seek to teach my students not only music, but also citizenship, critical thinking, community, team work and leadership to help our students grow into wonderful caring people.

My Project

Upcoming generations of students are constantly connected to the whole world through mobile technology. It is essential to bring that connection to the music classroom. IPads give students the opportunity to interact with music unlike they ever have before.

IPads would increase engagement, student collaboration, creativity and the overall enjoyment of my music class.

Students will create their own beats like a top music producer. They will research how music skills can be applied outside of the classroom and learn other 21st century skills. IPads can create individual listening stations for students to dive deeply into the music we are studying. They will interact with music software that will push rigor and keep them on their toes.

My students and I see a world of endless possibilities for our music classroom. I cannot wait to see what my students create, learn and are inspired by! With your donation, creativity in music will flourish with all of my students!
