Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This year I am proud to be the team leader at my school. This means the world to me as this was my elementary school. As their coach/leader, I can experience so many of the different learning environments.

Seeing so many of my students every morning with an eagerness to learn has shown me that this has been the best professional decision I have made in my career.

I know that this year will be one for the record books not only for all the students and teachers but for me as well because we will work together as a village to make magic once again this year.

Our school is located in a low-economic neighborhood where about 90% of the students receive free or reduced-price lunches. Many come from broken homes that have been separated because of their dream to come to the United States or because of natural disasters. Some of the students in my school suffer from attention deficit disorder (ADHD), are ESL students (English as a second language), and/or have other types of special needs. Regardless of their challenges, though, the majority of the students are very determined and eager to succeed.

My Project

My students and I would love to have an iPad Pro as an educational tool to enhance learning, motivation, productivity, health and success in our classroom. I have an assortment of students incorporating students social emotional needs, ADHD, learning disabilities, and English language learners. The iPad Pro could help fill in as an apparatus to reach and rouse my assorted students. I would have the option to utilize the clock as an inspiration for students to beat as an additional test during spelling bee challenges, particularly for students who need the additional push. The attempt to beat the odds can be exceptionally rousing for a hesitant student and students who like to challenge themselves. The iPad Pro would be advantageous for students to use after actual training exercises to screen their pulses prior and then afterward exercises. Notwithstanding that Class Dojo is an extraordinary application for class management and helps me to connect with my parents. The Class Dojo is used schoolwide to keep in touch with parents, other teachers and even other classrooms. The iPad Pro would make it easy to add points and reward students instantly. There are various apps that students can use for translating and even beneficial for myself when having to speak to parents who speak another language. The iPad can be used as a quick brain break by playing music for students who need to be active during the day. It can also be used as an activity monitor using app to measure heart rate, steps, etc. Students can test their own level of activity and challenge themselves and observe their fitness levels with graphs and data.
