Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My middle school students are from many different backgrounds. Each of them has different needs in order to learn, in my opinion, the most comprehensive and interesting curriculum...science! They love having a guinea pig as their classroom pet. It has helped with building connections, classroom management, and responsibility.

My students love learning with hands-on experiences, labs, and experiments.

I want to engage my middle school students with what we are learning and make it come to life for them. Being a pre-teen and teenager is a difficult time in their lives. I want my classroom to be a safe haven where they come to learn, have fun and become lifelong learners.

My Project

Last year half of my students were online and the other half physically in class. We have all transitioned to use less paper and more technology-based assignments, projects, and labs. My students have shown to improve their academic performance when I grade and provide feedback promptly.

I will be able to individualize instruction and feedback one-on-one by integrating OneNote, Teams, Schoology, EdPuzzle, Brainpop, Florida Student tutorials and the myriad of other platforms with my students.

Students will understand where they can improve and how to concentrate their learning on their skills.
