My Students

My students are full of love and energy. They enjoy Pete the Cat, Elmo, puzzles, and coloring! They love exploring the different ways to play with toys. They are curious and ready to learn!

With their return to school, I am dedicated to making sure their learning experiences are full of joy and fun.

This school is in a new location and due to budget cuts, I do not have many classroom items.

All of my students are between the ages of 5 and 6. My wonderful class consists of students with disability diagnoses who receive speech therapy, occupational therapy, and physical therapy. Due to the pandemic, this is our first time back in a school building since March. They have been very eager to start and be back in school. We are ready for an exciting and different type of school year!

My Project

Due to budget cuts, our classroom does not have a Smartboard. Therefore, there is no way to show videos to our students. With an iPad, they will have the ability to watch videos and access activities that are typically used with a Smartboard.

An iPad will provide our students with more opportunities to access learning.

An iPad will help engage our students by reaching their different learning styles and interests, such as having a book read aloud to them. Along with this, the iPad will help our non-verbal students with communication. By having an iPad in the classroom, we can teach the students how to use certain apps which they can then use with their at-home iPads on remote days. There are many different ways that an iPad will support our students.
