My Students

My students have always been a rich, diverse mix of different cultures, who all come together with one common goal: to learn. Going to school in an urban setting, they come from all backgrounds and walks of life to learn as a community. As a math teacher, it is imperative that I offer differentiation in the classroom because many of my students are academically years behind.

We hope to have art materials and new technology to encourage our alternative ways of learning mathematics for this changing global economy.

It will not do them justice to just give them packets of worksheets to complete. They need differentiated teacher instruction to help guide them through necessary skills.

My Project

In our classroom, we need the Apple iPad Pro. With the use of both the Apple iPad Pro and Apple Pencil, I will be able to engage with the class by walking around and incorporate student feedback from anywhere in the room. Students will be able to instantly show their work to the class from their desk as they create it and then others will be able to view it live on the Smartboard. Using the iPad Pro’s camera will also double as a document camera. In addition, the iPad Pro and Apple Pencil also offer many learning apps as well as the ability to connect to internet learning sites and online curriculum.

Consequently, the Apple iPad Pro and Apple Pencil will provide high-quality learning opportunities that my students need to be successful.

While the Apple iPad Pro and Apple Pencil will enrich the classroom, they also will help with engaging my students and making them life-long learners!
