My Students

The students in my classroom are 7th and 8th graders who attend a public school in Los Angeles. My students come from a culturally and linguistically diverse background. Many of them come from low income households and are faced with many challenges outside of school.

Although my students face challenges inside and outside of the classroom they are like all middle school students.

They are funny, insightful, energetic, curious, and willing to work hard. They inspire me to be a better person and teacher everyday.

My Project

My students need an iPad Pro and Apple Pencil to help them stay focused and involved during lecture and whole group instruction. An iPad Pro will allow me to create engaging and interactive notes for my students. Often times my students have a hard time staying focused during note taking time. The use of technology will allow me to enhance student notes with color, graphs and tables. My students will also be able to have access to the notes at any time which will help when students are absent or students who work at a different pace than others.

An iPad Pro will allow my students to be involved in the note taking process rather than just sit and copy!

An iPad Pro gives both the teacher and students flexibility in the classroom and learning process. I will be able to move around and give notes from anywhere in the classroom instead of being stuck in one area which will allow me to manage behavior better, be more engaging and give my students access to me at anytime. Most importantly my students will be able to demonstrate and access their learning through technology.
