This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Camden is the poorest and one of the most dangerous cities in the US. School is typically the only safe haven these kids know. Our schools, for a variety of reasons, lack the resources to provide these amazing kids with the education they deserve. By investing in these kids, you're giving them the opportunity to dream of a better future for themselves and their families as well as the City of Camden. They are very eager to utilize all new technology in the 21st century.

Technological literacy is essential if our students are to be competitive in a 21st Century, global economy.

As a result of this, integrating technology into classroom instruction should be one of the top priorities of any good educator. Access to technology would allow students to be active participants in the learning process rather than passive recipients of information, which would ensure they develop a better depth of knowledge of the concepts they are learning. It also allows for differentiation not only on the basis of academic levels, but for interests as well. My students need an iPad Pro to help them gain the skills that will enable them to compete in a 21st century, global economy.

Using an iPad Pro with Final Cut Pro Program in a collaborative learning environment for Video Editing, researching, writing and mathematical application skills, rather than just simple drills and practice, helps foster student creativity, collaboration, and communication.
