Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have been the Computer Lab Technology Aide at my school site in Los Angeles for five years. I love teaching technology to our future teachers, engineers, doctors, veterinarians, businessmen/women, and many more careers.

Teaching my students everything that computers allow us to do is important to me.

My students are creative, thoughtful, and inquisitive. I want my students to know and understand that computers are not just to play games on. Computers have a positive effect on our society and around the world.

My Project

Our school would normally be full with friends and families during our festivals, such as Family Night, Literacy Night, Science Night, and the Fall parade. The audience would cheer loudly for those 5th graders walking across the stage during culmination. But, because of the pandemic and new guidelines the school has had to cancel in person performances, award ceremonies, and culminations. The safety of our students, staff, and families comes first. Parents are no longer allowed on campus, which means they cannot be present for their children's achievements.

This iPad Pro and tripod would help us live stream our performances, award ceremonies, festivals, and culminations.

This live stream will be recorded and uploaded to our school's YouTube channel so parents can have a chance to see their children's achievements.
