Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Imagine having the curiosity, imagination and the smarts to learn but things are moving slow because you have to learn a whole new language. My wonderful English Language Learners are eager to take on any learning challenges but need iPad help!

Our school is a Title I school in Brooklyn's East New York and 100% of the students qualify for free lunch.

The student population is diverse and ever changing with a large Bengali and Hispanic population. My students come to Language Resource to learn how to speak, read and write English with the goal of transition within one school year. They come with a positive and respectful attitude and hard work ethic. Funds for technology to support my instruction goals are next to non-existent and I am looking for generous donors to help.

My Project

My students will use the Apple iPad for small group and individual learning. English language apps for grammar, phonics and reading for content will be downloaded on the tablet which will be set up as a Learning Center. Later, I will project apps on the SMARTBoard for whole group instruction.

This Apple iPad will help make a world of difference to so many children who are ready to enter the world of learning.

It will open doors for eager young minds who are chomping at the bit to move upwards. Your donations will allow my students to learn in the best way possible with technology providing the additional support and resources for them to succeed. Thank you for your generosity!
