My Students

My students are amazing human beings! They are full of life and have endless potential to do so many wonderful things. My school is a Title I school in a poverty stricken community. Our school receives a grant that allows every child to have free breakfast and lunch served at school due to food insecurities at home. Many of our parents struggle to help meet the needs of school supplies and the needs of their children. Regardless of these circumstances, my students overcome! They are learning how to face challenges and grow stronger academically, socially and emotionally preparing them for the next level of life.

I believe that these students deserve every opportunity this world has to offer and I am determined to help them get it.

These students can change the world with their brilliant minds and can climb out of the cycle of poverty through the gift of education. They will learn that the world is theirs for the taking with hard work, dedication, and knowledge.

My Project

Being a school that is receiving students from Puerto Rico after the devastating Hurricane Irma, I want to be prepared! It is important to me that I give my students everything possible to help make them comfortable and successful.

Having one-to-one technology is an important tool to help differentiate students instruction.

Using these iPads, students will work on coding, robotics, start creating a digital portfolio through programs and apps we use in the classroom daily. Students will be able to see how they grow, see future opportunities, and see progress as they learn new essential skills and concepts. IPads would help strengthen and grow my students love for learning!
