My Students

I currently teach first grade and my class has a variety of learners and interests. The students are performing at various levels including, approaching, on and above level. We use various programs that spark their love for learning and reading.

As a teacher, I try to tap into each and every student's learning style to help each student reach their potential every single day.

We will sing songs, use technology, physical education, science and so on to continue to keep students excited about learning.

As a school and grade level we work together to help our students in different ways. We collaborate daily and have support from each other. All of these types of collaboration help each and every child succeed in all academic and social areas.

My Project

Students in my class have books to read and manipulatives to use during math daily. But, they are lacking that extra support to help them master basic reading and math skills. Using an iPad will tap into students' interest of technology while teaching them reading and math skills.

The iPad along with the Osmo Genius Kit will give those struggling students the extra support they need to succeed and understand basic concepts.

I will help those students who are above level soar and continue to grow as learners. Those students that are on level will continue to master skills, and I will help them to become above level.
