My Students

I teach third grade students in a remote classroom setting. My students come from families who are new to the country. Some of my students require special services. My students come from varied backgrounds with different economic needs. Many of them are being raised in single-parent households and receive a free lunch based on their socioeconomic status. Currently we are working in a remote setting and we require materials to help us learn more easily.

Teaching and learning at home is challenging and I need a variety of devices to support my students with the technology issues they are having.

I am using a laptop and I have access to a chrome book. However, many of my students are working on an iPad and they are having difficulties because they do not see the materials and access programs like Google Slides and Pear Deck the same way that I do. It is impossible for me to try to assist them without the same technology.

My Project

My students are currently learning remotely. They are eager to learn and consistently log in for live lessons. Sometimes when they are working independently they are struggling with the technology and I feel like I can not help them.

With access to an iPad I can assist my students when they are having difficulty working using some of the platforms we use every day.

I have access to a laptop and a Chromebook, however many of my students work on an iPad every day. Some of the material looks very different on this device and I need to be able to assist them. I can only do this if I have an iPad so that I can view the material through the eyes of a child on an iPad.
