Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work at a Title 1 school near Downtown LA. My students are 6-7 years old and come from low socio-economic families. The only chance most of my students get to use technology is in my classroom.

With plans of returning back into the classroom, it is crucial to begin thinking of ways to keep my students safe.

Due to the Covid uncertainty, I would love to give each of my students their own iPad so they don't have to share them anymore.

My Project

With these unprecedented times and news of returning to the classroom, I would love to give each of my students their own iPad to use in class so they don't have to share them anymore.

iPads in the classroom help my students access educational apps that help them increase their learning.

Not only do they help them review previously learned material they also give my students the opportunity to practice skills while social distancing.

This iPad would be used to access programs like Reading Amplify (for reading), IXL Learning (for math), Code.org and Scratch Jr for coding.
