My Students

Having iPad minis in the classroom will open up the world of technology for my students!

I teach second grade in an urban school in New York.

Our student population is amazingly diverse: academically, ethnically, culturally, and economically. Watching young people from such differing backgrounds come together to create a cohesive and cooperative classroom community is always an inspiration to me.

My Project

There are so many ways in which I will be able to use a pair of iPad minis to enrich my students' learning! An iPad can be used to access educational websites and apps, to create and view photos and videos, to play interactive learning games, and to read eBooks. I am requesting covers and a Protection Plan as well, so I can ensure that these iPad minis remain safe and functional for as long as possible.

I have found technology to be incredibly motivating for my students.

My classroom received a standard iPad last year to replace an outdated laptop, and my students clamored for opportunities to use it. Receiving two more iPads will give the students many more opportunities to interact with this useful, educational, and engaging form of technology. Please consider supporting this project.
