My Students
I love using technology to capture my students' interests! The use of technology opens many doors past the westside of Indianapolis and I want my students to have access to the world. Early learners need lots of hands on interactive learning!
My students are preschoolers students who come from diverse backgrounds.
I teach two sessions of preschool. Each session has children with and without special needs. There are also students in both classes that English is not their first language.
Each child comes to me with varying experiences. They need to be motivated and challenged every day. and technology is one way that can be accomplished.
My Project
The iPad mini will be used in multiple ways in the classroom. The children will have access to the iPad mini during work time (centers) to explore the different applications alone or with a friend. The children will work on sharing and taking turns while using the iPad. This will also be a way for the children to work on patience while waiting their turn. The iPad will be used injunction with a current classroom iPod. The teacher and students will work on the same app working on writing.
The IPad will also be used for the children to take pictures of their work and the pictures can be emailed directly to their parents. The pictures will also be used to keep track of student progress on different activities and task throughout the classroom.
My students will have access to learning they may not have at home.
They also will be able to share with their parents their learning on a daily basis before they go home each day.
