This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students have various special needs such as autism and learning disabilities. They are all incredible!! My students learn in all different ways, but I have found there is one thing all of them have in common: a love of technology and iPads. My students have sensory, processing, fine and gross motor, and communication needs; yet when they are presented with technology such as an iPad, none of that matters to them! They are truly engaged when working with technology, and the technology provides a new method for them to learn lesson content and concepts. I would love to create a technology center based on specialized apps found in the App Store and used on the iPad.
